Music Unguarded by Rae Morris
Perhaps one the most surprising features of 2014 musically
was a resurgence in domestics artist amongst the best sellers. The fact will
surely hold some fascination for Rae Morris, a 22 year old whose debut album
Unguarded has entered the market with a work of distinction. Having been
playing keyboards and piano since childhood, it is no surprise that she makes
the instrument the focal point of many of Unguarded songs. The opener Skin,
leaves an impression of purity and lack of emotional clutter. Under The Shadows
flits between a rumbling epic drum crescendo and grown up pop body.
